Need to have no ad version.

Is anyone able to get the leaderboard to work? Mine hasn’t been working since I downloaded the game a LONG time ago.

This is a great app because there is only an ad between each set NOT between each hand. That makes it much more tolerable. 5 stars.

I love playing pinochle and when I cannot get together with my pinochle friends I play on my ipad. I am addicted. In general I like this game although it has a few glitches. First, the other bots make bidding a real challenge. They will bid ridiculously high with no meld to support such a bid. They always seem to have aces making getting by them to your partner almost impossible. And my ‘partner’ does stupid stuff. In trying to get the opponents trump out she will lead with a 10 that is then lost to an Ace when they could accomplish the same thing with a Jack or Queen (I know this because it is a simple matter to count trump when you have most of them!) Also, my ‘partner’ bids against me over and over and when I finally give up I find out that she has a tiny run while I had almost a double run that I gave up thinking she MUST have something amazing. No she did not! But all in all it is still a fun substitute for the real thing.

This will introduce a new player to the play of the game, the internal play can be frustrating. Your partner will bid against you. Your partner will bid against the other team into the 40’s even when their cards don’t support it. Therefore your team goes set quite regularly. One nice feature is that there is a popup if the other team would like to concede. It would be nice if we as the player could initiate a concession rather than being forced to play the hand. I have written these things through the bug option but there has not been any feedback from the developer.

The person who programmed this game is probably a good programmer. I know nothing about programming. I do know something about pinochle, I have played a lot. The good programmer is a lousy pinochle player. The partner in this game is very poor at bidding and makes some terrible plays, like always playing the highest card when they are the last play and then losing a later trick because of it for example, especially in Trump. The game is entertaining, but often frustrating because of the poor play of the “partner”.

My partner isn’t very brave even though insane is chosen

This Pinochle game is the perfect game that plays the traditional way of classic Pinochle. It is the game our family has played for years and this particular app is the best one that plays out the way Pinochle should without adding a lot of other unless stuff.

Can’t think of anything that would make it better.

I get one hand out 20 with meld or the strength to bid.

The computer knows both hands therefore it always gets the optimum meld. For example, it always gets 300 pinochle when it’s split.

This is app is great for learning the game, as you can view the hands before, during, and/or after each round and replay the hand to see what you could have done better. The only problem I see is that your partner seem to be the dumbest player at the table...

Anyone know what the first sentence in this app-provided advice in the bidding round means? -> “You would probably set bidding so high with this hand. You should pass.” I get the ‘you should pass’ but the first sentence makes no sense to me. It’s the advice given when you tap on the lightbulb for help. I’m guessing it’s meant to say something like “You can’t bid very high with this hand. Pass early so your partner knows your hand is bad” but want to be sure.

Fun, quiet, no interruptions! Love it!

I love the game Pinochle, but I’m playing the computer. I would like to play live people don’t know how.

It becomes very frustrating when time after time the opposition towards the end of the game comes up with a double run or some other high scoring hand. I play a lot of live competitive pinochle an if I had hands like that time after time I would be a wealthy man. Make it more realistic!!

The robots stack meld and betting in their favor. The programming should be totally random and then I’d give the game 5 stars.

For the most part the game is ok. But you can go very very very long periods where your hands are just horrible. I’ve tried to see if there’s a change but there isn’t. I have been looking for another app but haven’t found one.

Ads are generally unobtrusive. Interface is intuitive and nice looking. Been enjoying it for a couple years.

I really like this Pinocchle game. Minimal commercials. You can play “with or without” a helper/assistance.

Fine for a beginner or to practice card counts. However, errors in the algorithm and method of play are annoying to any serious player.

I’ve enjoyed playing this game for years but recently I’ve noticed that there will be games when I don’t have a biddable hand. So I decided to keep track. I went thru 5 games without a biddable hand. I’d appreciate a reply from the developers.

Due to a tomorrow curvature in my back and spine, coupled with arthritis-I have many days where movement of lowers limbs is too painful and I’ m flat on my back sometimes 3-4 days per week Sometimes tv watching gets boring. I pull out My iPad or iPhone and have a great time playing double pinochle it’s a great way to past the afternoons by testing my card playing skills I have become so great in pinochle it’s helped me be a better pinochle partner in live, real games. Concentration and skill . Great game, been playing about 5 years now.

A common start to a game is AI passed, partner meld bids 52, AI passes then I take the bid at 53. Partner then has meld 6 or less and we end up going set 99.99% of the time. 52 should never be bid unless the bidder has a marriage or at least 20 points meld. A monkey could code this in. Why hasn’t it been done?

The app is very well done. One thing bugs me though. If we’re playing to 500. North and South have 460, East and West have 490. East or West is stuck with the bid. Any human in their right mind would pass! I can’t tell you how many games I’ve lost because I don’t have the option to to override the North bid.

I love the game just wish it would end when a team will take all the rest of the tricks

Why can’t you give a person intelligent partner?

If my partner keeps passing me flipping 9s (and not even of trump) and then having no meld I’m gonna flip my flipping LID. There’s literally no reason your partner should every pass you motherflipping NINES.

NLO I love this game! I almost never lose, why? Because I cheat, how? I use the hourglass to see my partners hand. So I can see if between our two hands I will have a run. If, I can not make a run then I will pass. Also I might bid up to try and set the other team because I can see when they will not have a run. Ha, Ha, Ha.

Deals/hands seem inconsistent- I regularly get 3-4 “9’s” with no meld; they regularly get runs, double pinochles and aces- we are lucky to get one of those

It’s a great way to learn Pinochle, but they’re just slight issues with it. Slight little issues like how shuffling is a little bit inconsistent

Would like to play live against people.

This game played very nicely, but the computer partner plays poorly. One hand it passed me the 9 of trump, 2 other 9’s and an off suit king. I have never seen a bad pass like that before in my life.

The only thing I would change is the partner bot passing back aces to cover low impact meld they are holding. Expecting player to be able to lead back a specific ace after partner has led a non trump, non counter card as original lead is a bad strategy unless team needed the meld to get on the board.

I’m new to pinochle so this has been helpful. However, I get frustrated at times when opposing team plays trump to win a hand, but later in the game plays cards of the suit they “didn’t have” when they played trump. Other than that it’s fine.

I didn’t have to have such a lame partner. My partner had a great run 11 cards in the same suit but not any meld so he passes. Meanwhile I have double aces, almost triple but no marriage. So everyone passes. My partner should have bid looking for meld from me and he would have gotten it. Plenty of other annoying flaws makes me think that the programmer(s) don’t know how to play pinochle or if they do then they’re just a really bad players.

Stop sending multiple suits if partner does not have anything. Random nines??
